Catholic Faith Forum (CFF)

What is CFF?

Catholic Faith Forum (CFF) is an outreach interactive programme of the Preaching Team of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans) to teach the authentic Christian doctrine. The forum enable the preacher and his audience to interact in order to clarify any form of misinterpretation or misunderstanding of the authentic Christian faith.

What is the purpose of CFF?

The purpose is to gather people especially youths together in their own environment in order to preach the word of God as handed over to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, for the salvation of souls, and to address basic issues that affect different aspect of the Christian life. And to counter the various heresies that pervade the air. The forum is to be established in various higher institutions.

How does it work?

The programme involves a preacher or preachers presenting a topic of concern to a massive audience who later are given the chance to ask questions. These questions could be asked directly or written out. When the preaching involves more than one preacher the topic is divided in different parts one to be taken by each preacher. If a topic is not fully exhausted, it would have a follow up in the next forum. The CFF Open Forum will be held once every semester.

Who are the organiser?

The Catholic Faith Forum is a package of the Preaching Team of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). This team works in collaboration with the chaplain and members of the steering committee in each given institution.

Who can participate in CFF?

Anyone who is interested in learning the true Christian teachings. The audience depends on the environment. If it is an academic environment, then a large number of students will be participants. If it takes place in a parish then parish members will be more in attendance. But basically the forum is for young adults who are still interested in understanding their faith so that they can live a better Christian life.

After the forum then what?

By attending the forum, the opportunity is given to hear the truth as taught by the Catholic Church. The audience are expected to become agents of evangelisation wherever they may find themselves. Further clarifications would be given if the need arises. The outcome of each forum is to be treated in the following episode if there is need for it.
